Dan is the left hand crew chief of the Meyer Motorsports team.  Dan participates in all facets of the team including off season preparation, weekly maintenance, pre-race preparation, chassis set up, post race repair, and runs the jack during pit stops.

Dan was exposed to dirt track racing at an early age.  His Dad was a crew member of the old Shamrock 8.  Dan got into the drivers seat at the age of 3 in a modified style pedal car that his Dad built and he actually "raced" on the Fairmont track.  Dan grew up around cars and began building his own street rod when he was 13.

While Dan has been in the drivers seat a couple of times he prefers the excitement behind the scenes.  Researching and strategizing set ups are his passion.  He is inspired by Josh's talent to continue finding new ways to give him a better edge.

Dan became involved with local dirt track racing in 2000 assisting various teams.  Dan began helping Josh in 2003 and joined Meyer Motorsports in 2004.  Dan is thrilled to be a part of such a dynamic and energetic team.

Dan resides in Fairmont, Minnesota with his wife DeAnna, son Justin, and daughter Emilee.  Dan can't wait for the next race because each time it just gets better and better.
